How Does Shipverse Receive The Goods?

Receiving or inbound shipping, is the process of checking-in and unloading clients’ items when they arrive by truck, container or tractor-trailer. This is a crucial, often-overlooked, warehouse service. Fast, accurate receiving can mean the difference in having products in stock on your website and ready to sell or unavailable, lost, or on backorder. Once your products have been logged into inventory and placed on the shelves, they are ready for our warehouse team to pick and pack them.

How Does Shipverse Handle Order Fulfillment and Shipping?

The final stage of order fulfillment is shipping. After your order is picked, packed and labeled, it moves to the shipping station. At specific times each day, UPS, USPS, and other carriers may stop by the warehouse to pick up outbound shipments. Once a package leaves the warehouse, the carrier is responsible for getting it safely to your customer. However, Shipverse Fulfillment Services extend beyond the warehouse dock. Our relationships with the major carriers allow us to negotiate favorable rates, which can save you money on shipping. We go above and beyond to keep your orders going out. In a crunch, when carrier capacity limitations slowed down shipping for other warehouses, we found creative solutions so that our clients experienced almost no delivery delays.

What Are The Different Types of Warehouses?

There are three types of warehouses: fulfillment, storage, and distribution. Some companies may choose to specialize in one area (1PL), or two areas (2PL) or three areas (3PL). Shipverse is a 3PL provider. We do all three.

How Does Fulfillment Work?

In general, Shipverse can assist with the logistics process by:

i. Receiving and warehousing inventory
ii. Picking, packing, and shipping orders
iii. Barcoding & Bundling SKUs
iv. Adhering to custom packing procedures
v. Coordinating returns and exchanges
vi. Filing paperwork for international shipments
vii. Providing service customization on demand

What is Fulfillment?

A fulfillment warehouse, like Shipverse provides third-party logistics services. Clients ship inventory to our facility. We then provide warehouse services including storage and order fulfillment. Through our logistics services, we receive products and ship out orders. We also offer additional services such as inventory management. We do this all under one roof.

How Does Shipverse Help Clients with Inventory Management?

Inventory Management is the fine art of having just enough stock on hand, but not too much. Whether or not you utilize our partner company (Club Debut) for Manufacturing Services, we can help you manage your inventory. We work with you to optimize your inventory management based on information that includes sales, seasonality, reorder timing, and other factors.

Why should growing brands consider working with a fulfillment partner?

Shipverse allows you to outsource the logistics part of running your business. This includes daily tasks like packing boxes and making multiple trips to the post office. While the above routines may work just fine for business owners who are starting out, logistics refers to the process of getting from point A to point B - and so much can and will happen in between. Having a trusted partner to do this is of particular important consideration.

What Level of Support Will I Receive?

Businesses come in all shapes and sizes. Some are relatively straight forward, while others are more complex with many moving parts. Regardless of the size of your business, Shipverse prides itself on being a dependable and knowledgeable 3PL provider. No matter how well things are going, the potential for error is always on the horizon, which is why knowing you have a great team you can rely on is very important, especially for a growing business.

How Does Distribution Work?

We receive your inventory goods in bulk. We then distribute the goods we receive according to your instructions.

How Does Shipverse Handle Picking & Packing?

When a customer places an order on your e-commerce website, ideally you want to have that information go directly to Shipverse. A picker will find the items for the order, each in a designated space on the shelf. A packer will find the perfect-sized box or polybag and add requisite infill around your products so they can ship safely. Accurate picking and packing is the foundation of a successful e-commerce business. We pick and pack orders the same day we receive them, with a cutoff as late as at 1PM generally, and 5:00PM for expedited orders.
